MASCAC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards 1/27
Ernidia Goncalves of Salem State and Chloe Azoff of Bridgewater State earn the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors after going 2-0 in MASCAC play.

Goncalves continued her dominant play in a 2-0 week for the Vikings, averaging a double-double with 17 points on 53.6% shooting (15-28 FG) and 15.5 rebounds. The junior posted 16 points (6-13 FG), 14 rebounds, and three blocks in a 69-56 victory over Worcester State, then followed it up with an 18-point (9-15 FG), 17-rebound performance in a 77-60 win over Fitchburg State. |
Rookie of the Week |
Azoff averaged 15 points and five rebounds in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears while shooting 50% (11-22) from the floor, 33% (5-15) from behind the arc and 75% (3-4) at the free throw line. Notched a career-high 16 points to go along with seven rebounds (two offensive), an assist and a steal in 17 minutes off the bench in the Bears 92-52 MASCAC win over Fitchburg State. Tallied 14 points and three rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench in an 81-68 conference road victory over Westfield State. |
