MASCAC Softball Weekly Awards 4/15
After conference wins, the Framingham State duo of Gwendolyn Carpenter and Ally Moran along with Bridgewater State's Makayla Ansell grab the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors.

Player of the Week |
Carpenter went 11-for-15 (.733) with three doubles, a triple, four runs and four RBI in a 2-2 week for the Rams. Went 6-for-8 with three doubles, a triple and four RBI, including the go ahead double in game 1 in the sweep of Worcester State. Added a 5-for-7 performance in two one-run setbacks at Babson. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Moran went 1-1 with a save not allowing an earned run over 13 innings of work in a 2-2 week for the Rams. Earned the save closing out the 7-5 win over Worcester in game 1 before tossing six innings of four hit ball striking out six allowing only an unearned run to lead to the sweep of Worcester State. Allowed only an unearned run and four hits with no walks and a strikeout in a 1-0 setback at Babson. |
Rookie of the Week |
Ansell batted .429 in a 4-2 week for the Bears last week with a triple, a stolen base, three runs and five RBI. Went 3-for-8 with a triple, stolen base, two runs and three RBI in a MASCAC sweep of Salem State; 3-for-7 with a run and two RBI in non-conference sweep of Vermont State Lyndon; and 3-for-6 in a pair of MASCAC setbacks to Fitchburg State. |
