Westfield State’s Adam, Bridgewater State’s Reichert Named 2021 MASCAC Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and Headline the 2021 Softball All-Conference Teams
Farrah Adam of Westfield State and Kelley Reichert of Bridgewater State were named the 2021 MASCAC Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and headline this year's MASCAC All-Conference Teams.

WESTFIELD, Mass. — Westfield State's Farrah Adam and Bridgewater State's Kelley Reichert have been named the 2021 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and headline the all-conference squad which is voted on by the coaches from around the conference.
Adam, a junior outfielder from West Springfield, Mass., was named the 2021MASCAC Player of the Year. She was the league’s leading hitter with a league-best .464 average and .521 on-base percentage. She also topped the conference in hits with 39 and doubles with 13. Adam was also a key contributor in terms of run production scoring 22 runs and driving in 16.
Reichert, a junior from Milford, Mass, earned the league’s top pitching honor this year as the 2021 MASCAC Pitcher of the Year. She made 19 appearances with 13 starts, tossing 91.1 innings. She picked up 12 wins on the season, struck out 81 batters and carried a 2.45 ERA. She had two shutouts on the season and surrendered two or fewer runs in six of her starts.
Alyssa Clark, a sophomore from Uxbridge, Mass., was voted as this year’s MASCAC Rookie of the Year. Clark batted .325 this year with five home runs, 15 RBI, and 23 runs scored for Westfield State. Her five long balls were tied for the league lead. Clark also stole six bases on the year.
Lindsey Couturier of Bridgewater State is the 2021 Champion's Choice Coach of the Year after leading the Bears to an 6-3-1 conference record and qualifying for the MASCAC Championship Series.
Joining Adam and Reichert on the first team are Bridgewater State's Kerrin McLaughlin, Alexandra Ruprecht, and Madison Synan, Fitchburg State's Audrey Johnson, Framingham State's Camille Desrochers, Kirsten Dick, and Ally Moran, Westfield State's Lindsay Cordopatri and Madison Philbrook, and Worcester State’s Brynna Meeker.
Grabbing a spot on the MASCAC second team all-conference are Bridgewater State's Morgan Cournoyer, Madison Dana, Emma Healy, and Megan Sharon, Fitchburg State's Morgan Cormier, Lauren Kirkconnell, and Julianna Savone, Framingham State’s Grace Swanson and Shannon Ward, and Worcester State's Emily Bartlett, Rachel Sinclair, and Samantha Stake.
