After the opening weekend of the men's cross country season, Kevin McBirney of Bridgewater State and Gavin DaFonte of Westfield State take home the MASCAC Men's Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week.

McBirney placed fourth out of a field of 98 runners at the 10th Annual Wheaton & Babson Season Opener held at the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course in Attleboro. Completed the 5k course in a career-best time of 15:56.79. |

DaFonte placed 28th overall out of a field of 75 runners in his first collegiate meet at the Keene State Alumni meet on Saturday afternoon with a 5k time of 17:29. Weekly Report 9/3 |
