William Canty
Westfield State
Junior • Grafton, Mass.
Canty won the NEICAAA decathlon title with a school record score of 6,765 in the decathlon, breaking his own mark, while defeating a field that included athletes from Division I, II, and III schools. He won the 100 meters (11.07), the 400 meters (48.93), and the pole vault (13’ 11.25”). He scored 845 points in the 100, the most of any of his events. Canty now ranks fourth on the NCAA national qualifying list.
Colin McCabe
Mass. Maritime
Sophomore • Dartmouth, Mass.
McCabe threw a 17.37m (57’) toss in the shot put at the NEICAAA to finish in first place in the event over competitors from Division I, II and III. Currently ranks fourth nationally in the event.
Jacob DeAndrade
Bridgewater State
Freshman • Taunton, Mass.
DeAndrade placed tenth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.99 seconds and finished 17th overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.14 seconds at the NEICAAA Championships held at Southern Connecticut State University. Also garnered All-NEICAAA honors as he ran a leg on the Bears’ 4x100-meter relay squad which placed sixth in the event with a season-best time of 42.23 seconds.
