The 2024 MASCAC Men’s Golf Championship will tee off September 28-29 at the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Mass. hosted by Westfield State.

 

The championship is a two day, 36-hole stroke play tournament. There will be seven teams competing- Marymount University, Marywood University, MCLA, Salem State University, Springfield College, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. This is the first year Marymount and Marywood will be competing at conference affiliates in men's golf. The first group will tee off at 12:40 pm on September 28 and then September 29, the pairings will begin at 12 pm.

 

At the 2023 tournament, Springfield claimed the 2023 MASCAC Men's Golf team title, their second since joining the conference in 2019. MCLA's Mat Gover earned top individual medalist honors while also being named Rookie of the Year for his two day performance.

Springfield (302, 321, +33), finished ahead of runner-up MCLA (320, 324, +36) while Salem State placed third (313, 332, +44).

MCLA standout rookie Mat Gover  earned individual medalist honors, shooting a 76 on day two to go with a 71 (-1) on Saturday for a +3, 147 to beat out Springfield's David Girourd by six strokes, (75, 78, 153 +9) and Salem State's Ethan Doyle, who ended with a (72, 81, 153 +9). 

The Pride increased their day one lead behind Girourd, Nick DeMaio and Amir Ardolino , who all finished in the top-five. DeMaio scored a (72, 84, 156) while Ardolino shot an (81, 76, 157).

The BSN Sports Coach of the Year was awarded to Joe Eadie of Springfield.

Worcester State finished in fourth place (337, 328, 665) while Westfield State came in fifth (376, 360, 736).

Spectators will be allowed to attend. Please note that the course has a considerable number of hills and space between holes. Spectators will not have access to course golf carts so please plan accordingly. Results and recap from each day of competition can be found at mascac.com.
