MASCAC Football Weekly Awards 10/1
Devaun Ford of Framingham State along with the Westfield State duo of Max Margeson and Cooper Harvey plus Aiden Figueroa of WestConn are the MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, Rookie and Special Team award winners after leading their teams to conference wins on Saturday.

Offensive Player of the Week |
Ford rushed for a season-high 208 yards on 28 carries with three touchdowns in the Rams’ win over Plymouth State. Averaged 7.4 yards per carry with a long of 55 and scored three one-yard touchdowns. Had 208 of the Rams’ 251 rush yards in the game. Also added two catches for 12 yards in the win. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Margeson scored what ended up as the game-winning touchdown after jarring loose a pass that teammate Alec Rodriguez picked off on the ricochet, then Margeson took a handoff from Rodriguez on the return and rambled 30 yards in the Owls’ 17-10 win over Mass. Maritime. Finished with two tackles and a pass breakup in the win. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Figueroa blocked a punt on the first possession of the game, recovered the ball and returned it 32 yards for the game’s first touchdown in the Wolves’ 52-21 win over previously-undefeated UMass-Dartmouth. He also had a tackle for loss in the game.

Rookie of the Week |
Harvey was perfect on the afternoon, booting a 39-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to tie the game at 10-10, and a pair of extra points in the Owls’ 17-10 win over Mass. Maritime. The field goal was the first of his collegiate career. |
