Jordan Smith of Westfield State, Brendan Albert of Bridgewater State, Jaicob Tejeda of WestConn and Keyshawn McCurdy of Fitchburg State are the MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams weekly honorees. Smith and McCurdy are Co-Rookie of the Week.

Offensive Player and Co-Rookie of the Week |
Smith ran for 130 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, tossed an 18 yard touchdown pass on a halfback-option play, and caught a team-high five balls for 29 yards in the Owls’ 28-18 win on the road at Worcester State. Smith also played snaps in the defensive backfield and made five tackles and broke up a pass. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Albert notched 12 tackles, including five solo stops and one tackle for loss in the Bears’ 20-19 MASCAC win over Framingham State. Came up with a clutch game-saving blocked field goal (22-yard attempt) with 2:53 remaining in the fourth quarter as the Bears’ were clinging to the one-point lead. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Tejeda had a kick off touchdown return for 90 yards in the Wolves’ 41-21 win over Fitchburg State.

McCurdy hauled in five passes for 107 yards and his first three collegiate touchdowns (8, 69 and 22 yards) in the Falcons’ setback to WestConn. |
