MASCAC Football Weekly Report 11/13
Dante Aviles-Santos of UMass Dartmouth, Steven Silvia and Shane Drake of Bridgewater State and Dylan Zuerblis of Westfield State take home the MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams and Rookie of the Week honors after the final regular season games over the weekend.

Offensive Player of the Week |
Aviles-Santos completed 26-of-29 passes (89.7%) with 316 yards and three touchdowns in the Corsairs’ 46-21 win over Plymouth State to claim the MASCAC Regular Season title. Threw touchdown passes of four, 18 and 12 yards to lead the team to a perfect 8-0 league record. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Silvia captured the Lee Harrington Award as MVP of the 43rd Annual Cranberry Bowl. Notched nine tackles with seven solo stops, a sack, three tackles for loss and a fumble recovery as the Bears shut out Mass. Maritime, 10-0. Led a BSU defensive effort which limited the Buccaneers to 224 yards of total offense. |
Special Teams Player of the Week |
Drake booted a 30-yard field goal in the Bears’ 10-0 victory over Mass. Maritime in the 43rd Annual Cranberry Bowl. Also averaged 42.0 yards on two punts and 58.7 yards on three kickoffs with one touchback..

Rookie of the Week |
Zuerblis finished with five tackles, including two solo and 1.5 sacks for a loss of eight yards in the Owls 50-0 win over Fitchburg State. He was also involved in the Westfield State safety, recording half a sack on the play. |
