Four MASCAC Student-Athletes Named to NEFW College Division All-New England Team
Andrew Fennelly and Jacob Maher of Framingham State, Kyle Johnston of Massachusetts Maritime and Will Daniels of Western Connecticut State have been selected to the 2019 New England Football Writers College Division All-New England Team.

Andrew Fennelly and Jacob Maher of Framingham State, Kyle Johnston of Massachusetts Maritime and Will Daniels of Western Connecticut State have been selected to the 2019 New England Football Writers College Division All-New England Team.
Fennelly, who anchored the Rams offensive line this season, was previously recognized as the 2019 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Offensive Lineman of the Year as well as a first team All-MASCAC Selection. Fennelly saw action in all 11 game this season as the Rams averaged 33.4 points and 434.5 yards of total offense per game. The Rams led the MASCAC with 1,823 yards rushing on the year (165.7 per game).
Maher, a first team All-MASCAC selection, is being recognized as an All-New England selection for the third straight season. In 2019, Maher made 56 receptions on the year for 819 yards with eight receiving touchdowns. Maher averaged 14.6 yards per catch, led the Rams with 68 points and carried the ball 20 times with three rushing touchdowns.
Last week, Johnston was named to the MASCAC All-Conference 1st team for his dominant season at defensive end for the Buccaneers. Johnston recorded a career-high 12.5 sacks this season, tops in the conference and fifth in the nation. He also recorded a career-high 19.5 tackles for loss, second in the MASCAC, while forcing three fumbles which all attributed to him earning this selection from the New England Football Writers. This is Johston's first All-New England Selection.
Daniels led the Colonials and the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with 74 catches for 1,211 yards, and average of 110.1 per game and 13 touchdowns this past season, which ended on Saturday in WestConn's first-ever appearance in the New England Bowl Series. He averaged 6.7 receptions per game and 16.4 yards per catch in his second season. Daniels recorded six kick-off returns for 72 yards and brought back eight punts for an additional 67 yards for the 8-3 Colonials.
A total of 29 players representing 20 different teams were honored with selection to the NEFW All-New England Team including four players from the MASCAC. The 2019 All-New England Team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 12th.
