Bridgewater State Men, Women Seek Repeat Titles at 2024 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship
After winning the title on both the men's and women's side, Bridgewater State seeks repeat crowns at the 2024 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Friday, April 26 hosted by Westfield State.
After winning the title on both the men's and women's side, Bridgewater State seeks repeat crowns at the 2024 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Friday, April 26 hosted by Westfield State.
Kicking off the day on Friday is the field events which begin at 10:00 am with the pole vault. On the track side, the men's 10,000 meters will begin the afternoon with the women following them. Throughout the day, awards will be given to the top individuals and relays in each gender with the top teams on each side awarded at the end of the day.
At the 2023 Outdoor Championship, the Bears collected 249 points to win the men's title while Westfield State was up next in second with 126 points. Fitchburg State followed close behind in third with 120. Worcester State and Massachusetts Maritime closed out the team scores in fourth and fifth with 92 and 36 points, respectively. On the women's side, the Bears finished first in the team scoring with 189 points while second place finisher Westfield State came in at 162 points. Framingham State was third with 92, Fitchburg State in fourth with 81 and Worcester State close behind in fifth with 76. Massachusetts Maritime rounded out the team scores in sixth with 13 points.
