THE LEAD – Lesley and Fisher both headed to Mass. Maritime for a tri-match against the Buccaneers. The Lynx dropped both matches but recorded season-high point totals on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED-FISHER
- In their first set of the day, Lesley held Fisher to a tied game up until the eighth point of the match. Lesley put up another nine points but lost to Fisher 16-25.
- The next two sets Fisher was able to gain and keep an early lead, defeating the Lynx 3-0 on the match.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Emma Welch recorded two kills in the match, as well as a dig.
- Renee Hatch put up three kills, a pair of service aces, and four digs against the Falcons.
- Estephany Morales added five assists to the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED-MASS. MARITIME
- The Buccaneers came out to an early lead in the first set putting six straight points on the board and never looking back.
- The Lynx battled back early in the second set, keeping the score close and tying it at 7-7. Maritime then went on a nine-point run to give them the advantage and eventually win the set.
- To start the third set Maritime opened up with another seven straight points. Lesley battled back and forth until the Buccaneers led 12-5. Lesley tacked on another three points but loss the set 25-8.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Freshman Rayann Fatani lead the Lynx with a career high of seven digs.
- Welch contributed three kills, an assist and four digs.
- The Lynx put up a season high 20 digs on the match.

- The Lynx are back on the court Tuesday, September 19th with a home matchup against the Buccaneers.
