CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In an exciting non-conference game with Framingham State College, the Lesley University women's basketball team were victorious 63-60 to improve their record to 10-7 (4-3 North Atlantic Conference).  With the loss, Framingham State dropped to 4-12 (0-6 MASCAC). 

The Lynx got a big performance out of Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio) who led the team with 17 points off the bench on 6-of-15 shooting as she hitting four of her 10 three-point attempts.  In her 26 minutes, Harrington also had five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Fourteen of her team-high 17 were scored in the second half.

Senior Christina Bordini (Chelmsford, Mass.) led the Rams as she dominated the low-post all night long.  Bordini finished with a game-high 24 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.  At halftime, the senior was in danger with foul personal fouls but played smart in the second half to stay in the game, contributing with 11 points. 

Lesley jumped out to a big lead early in the game and found themselves up 26-11 with just 7:15 remaining in the half.  The Rams stormed back in the final minutes of half, trimming the lead to just two points. 

The Lynx maintained their slight advantage for most of the second half until Bordini tied the game up at 55-55 with 3:47 remaining on a jumper in the paint.  Less than a minute later, Rams junior Allie Hart (Somerset, Mass.) hit one-of-two free throws to put Framingham State up for the first time all game. 

A basket by Harrington helped Lesley regain the lead.  After a clutch score from Cassidy Freed (Brattleboro, Vt.) and free throws from Courtnie Leakeas (Lowell, Mass.), Lesley was able to hold on for the victory.  Leakeas finished with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a block.  The only other double-digit scorer for the Lynx was Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) who gave quality minutes off the bench as she finished with 10 points in just 22 minutes. 

Framingham State's Toya Chester (Leominster, Mass.) joined Bordini in double-figure points as she tallied 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the loss. 

Lesley's next opponent will be at Emmanuel College on Monday February 4 at 5:30 p.m.  Framingham State will visit the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Tuesday February 5 at 5:30 p.m.
