Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State field hockey team defeated Fitchburg State by a score of 2-1 in overtime Saturday morning at Maple Street Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Rams took the lead in the 23rd minute when graduate student Isabella Kondi sent one into the back of the cage.

The Falcons tied the score late in the fourth quarter when Autumn Tibbetts was able to force overtime in the 53rdminute of play.

Kondi scored her second of the game and game-winner in the third minute of overtime to send the Rams to victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Rams goalie Kaitlyn Tello made four saves in net for the Rams while Cori Lawson was credited with a defensive save.

Jenna Morse made nine stops in net for the Falcons.

The Rams outshot the visitors 14-to-10 while only having four penalty corners to the Falcons seven.
